HMS Bounty sailing into Campbell's Cove in Sydney.
His Majesty's armed transport ship, HMS Bounty, sailed from Portsmouth harbour on the 23rd of December 1787 on a tragic and eventful voyage as ever befell an English ship.
On the morning of April 28th 1789, the notorious "Mutiny on the Bounty" reached its climax as the crew of HMS Bounty, led by the master's mate Fletcher Christian, overpowered the ship's captain Bligh and cast him adrift with 18 others in the ship's boat.
Well....you probably know the rest of this very colourful story by now......
